Terms of Use
These terms (the “Terms”) apply to the Lovely app (the “Application”) and the related services we provide (together, the “Service”), created and operated by Bilal Labs (“Lovely,” “we,” “us”).
By downloading or using the Application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Application. If you buy a subscription, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and share your information, including what your partner can see. It is part of these Terms. If these Terms conflict with the Privacy Policy about your personal information, the Privacy Policy controls.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Application and able to form a binding contract with Bilal Labs.
Your Account and Your Partner
- You need an account (Sign in with Apple or email). Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- You can pair with one partner at a time using an invite code. Only pair with someone you know and trust: once paired, your partner sees what you share (see the Privacy Policy), can edit and delete shared memories, and, if you turn it on, sees your location.
- Either partner can end the partnership at any time in the app. After that, neither of you can see the other’s content.
- Location sharing and live location are optional. Share them only with a partner who agrees, and never use Lovely to track someone without their knowledge or consent.
Your Content
You own the photos, text and other content you add (“Your Content”). You give us a limited license to store, process (for example, re-encode photos) and show Your Content to you and your paired partner, only to provide the Service. We do not use Your Content for advertising and do not make it public.
You are responsible for Your Content. Do not share content that is illegal, that you do not have the rights to, or that shows another person without their permission. Do not use Lovely to harass, threaten or harm anyone. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules or the law.
Lovely Premium (Subscriptions)
- Some features require Lovely Premium, an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly). The price, period and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A free trial, if offered, converts to a paid subscription at its end unless cancelled at least 24 hours before.
- The subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel it.
- One subscription gives Premium to you and your current partner. If the partnership ends, your partner loses the Premium you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
- Free features and limits (for example, the number of memories) may change; paid features you already bought stay available until your subscription ends.
License to Use the Application
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Application for personal, non-commercial use under these Terms. Do not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the Application, or try to access other people’s data. All intellectual property in the Application belongs to Bilal Labs.
Third-Party Services
Lovely relies on Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple, notifications, Maps), Google Firebase and RevenueCat. Their own terms apply to their services. Distances, travel times and arrival notices are estimates and depend on your device, network and those services; do not rely on Lovely for safety or emergencies.
Availability and Changes
Some features need an internet connection, and your carrier’s data charges apply. We may update, change or stop parts of the Service. We may require a minimum app version to keep using it.
Termination
You may stop using Lovely and delete your account at any time (Profile → Delete account). We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, use the Service unlawfully, or harm the Service or other users.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bilal Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or fifty US dollars (US $50), unless applicable law requires more. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection law of your country of residence applies. Disputes will be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction, except where the law lets you bring claims in your home country.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here and tell you in the app about material changes. Continuing to use Lovely after they take effect means you accept them.
